I spent the day in London today, and after meetings & lunch, I decided to cross the river and just wander around the south bank. But it was windy and touristy, so after a while I ended up at Foyles instead. And obviously headed straight to the cookery section…. Where I found the most beautiful book: Persiana by Sabrina Ghayour, with recipes from the Middle East and beyond. One dish in particular caught my eye; Persian Walnut, Pomegranate and Chicken Stew (Khoreshteh Fesenjan). http://sabrinaghayour.com/category/fesenjan/
And Persian cooking fits nicely in with a beautiful and touching community group I have recently discovered on Facebook, #MyStealthyFreedom. “The photos have been sent by women from all over Iran and the site is dedicated to Iranian women inside the country who want to share their ‘stealthy’ photos without the veil.” I recommend you check it out!
Now then, onto amazon to buy Persiana, I think.
Love,
Natasja
